Along with the improvement of oilfield exploration and development level, the exploration targets have moved from structural reservoir to lithology reservoir. Meanwhile, reservoir prediction methods mainly supported by well logging inversion have increasingly received prominence in oilfield exploration and development. Based on the production practices in the past few years, Technical staff has formed reservoir prediction and description methods special for different sedimentary types, especially for thin layer prediction. Technical staff has completed more than 50 reservoir meticulous prediction projects of different sedimentary types, reservoir types and oil field types in rifted basins in central China, compression basins in western China and transition basins in central China.
